Tickets worked smoothly online. The palace is very beautiful, but very tourist crowded. To get into the palace there are time slots and long lines.

Bought tickets to Pena Palace while in Lisbon and taxied to the town. Once there found that there were too many add ons once at the site. Ie; extra bus rides, other tour sites. There were many visitors there the day we went and found the interior tour boring due to length of time shuffling people through the two floors. Would skip that tour the next time. The old town visit part way down the hill after the castle was a highlight for us. Took the train back to what we thought as Lisbon but due to no visitor help at the station ended up on the wrong train.

Had no problems with the tickets. Something came up for our group so we got there later than planned and couldn't enter the actual palace. It was still a great experience just enjoying the terraces and taking lovely photos. We actually wished we'd paid for the park only as we didn't feel like we'd missed much, not entering the palace.

An enjoyable day in the company of Paulo SILVA who is a very professional guide and ensures that everyone gets the most out of the tour. I gave 4 stars because the description of the visit to the castle gardens is ambiguous. In fact, the most beautiful gardens don't belong to Pena Palace, but to other castles not included in the tour.

Nice trip We hadskip the vie rocket, That was good Will organiced, the trip inside the castle Lita of nice rooms with good info plates, with just the Essentials Text. Aldo Nice suvenir shop and cafeteria and restaurant. The outside castle trip was ok, nice view. Good organized the route. Not to many people when we were there in the morning. Can see it could be more difficult if there were more people. A little confusion regatding the return transport, but we walked down to Sintra....

The highlight of my visit was being able to find parking at the entrance to the garden after almost being scammed by the Tuk Tuk guys at the bottom of the hill. Luckily a local waived his finger to warn me not to park where guy was telling me to go. Garden was nice to hike up though on the sunny day. We did notice Giant Hogweed growing near path which is dangerous to touch though. The palace was amazing and the views are the best we have seen.

This place is perfect for a romantic stroll! The park is simply sublime! 🤩 We parked in Sintra and walked up to the palace through a park. It's a steep climb! But what satisfaction once we got to the top 😍

Very comfortable purchase and excellent experience. The palace and grounds are wonderful. The only downside is that the high number of visitors makes it a long wait before entering and also a bit forced to visit the interiors, which follows a bit of a processional rhythm, everyone proceeding at the same time and not much way to linger. Overall, however, very positive experience! As for the park, immense, full of surprises and tiring to get around (but absolutely worth it)

Absolutely loved it!! We went to Pena Palace in the morning, but it was already bit crowded, so we didnt stay there that long. Instead, we decided to explore the park and it was the best decision. We were there alone pretty much most of the time and from some places, we had an amazing view at the Pena Palace. Definitely recommend spending about 1-2 hours exploring the park.

The tour was good. The palace is pretty amazing. The one thing that was a little bothersome was the fact that on the tkt it says that your time a lot is your time slot and will not be tolerated if missed, well it was , many ppl were arriving after their scheduled time. One thing that would be nice to be included is the length it can take to get from train station to the palace, the traffic was very congested and took longer than we thought it would. We were thankful we gave ourselves lots of time to get there

The castles are beautiful. They are worth visiting, but I do not recommend doing both visits on the same day. The distances between one and the other involve more than an hour's drive. The coaches run every 20 minutes. I wanted to stay longer at Quinta da Regaleira, and it was getting late to get into Quinta da Pena. I had to take a Bolt to get there on time. Calculate well the distances and how you are going to be able to travel.

The experience was outstanding regarding the quinta da Regaleira, beautiful the garden part all to discover with the caves as icing on the cake is beautiful fairy tale atmosphere. On the other hand, less beautiful was the visit of the Pena Palace, the palace very nice to photograph in the outside part but how the visit inside is organized I did not like it: it is a perennial and endless line to see two rooms and you do not see them well because you have to keep walking as there are so many people.

At the time of arrival, we were able to enter with our tickets with ease. We showed up 45 minutes early so we had to wait in a lineup of others who were also early. They control the amount if traffic entering in this way which was appreciated because it was very very busy. The gardens and the palace themselves are stunning. We waited about 30 minutes in line to see the initiation well, but it was so worth it. We both really enjoyed learning about the property and the man who built it via the interactive video and historical timelines that they have on display in one of the buildings

The Quinta da Regaleira was the best sight we visited in Sinatra. Much better than the Pena Palace and much easier to get to, just a 10 minute walk from the center. Can easily spend 2 hours walking the grounds so if you you only have time for one do this one.

The site was a magical place and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Spent about 3.5 hours exploring. Was a bit disappointed that the palace section was only 1 floor.

There was no indication of the final march to the Pena castle. Way too far & steep to walk for seniors. It would have been good to know how far & steep that final climb was going to be round trip. Guide was very good but focused on the front of the bus. We ended up sitting near the back & 2 women continually talked the whole time. It was difficult to hear the guide.

Our guide was amazing!!! You need to revamp your website to explain to people that you cannot drive up to the palace. Parking must be done somewhere lower in town or partway up mountain. Also, you need to retake a picture of the meeting place. It's inside the gates after you have already been scanned by the ticket takers. It's just to the left of the entrance gate. Both of these suggestions would make the whole experience less frustrating! It's an easy fix.

Overall the experience & tour was incredible. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions plus of course gave us an amazing historical tour surrounding the property. Our tickets were for 4pm & we had to park at the bottom of the mountain - we were late given traffic and we practically ran to get to the designated spot at 4pm. No guide was there - we asked many people finally calling Headout in which the rep was very helpful but told us our guide was "running late" and wouldn't be there until 4:30. We finally spotted him about that time and he told us our booking was 5pm. He took pictures of our tickets clearly stating 4pm - to us this was a huge error as we also had plans following this tour that then were delayed. Also the tour was supposed to be 1.5 hours and was just over 1 hour. Felt we were a bit rushed.

Although the guide was very willing and did her best and even made the effort to speak in French. She just wasn't up to scratch. She even indicated that she wouldn't be taking the tour inside the palace, even though that was what we were expecting. She decided to take the tour inside. She even told us that she was obliged to do this job. It's not up to the standard of other guided tours we've been on and other guides on site.

The tour itself was fine however the guide did not make herself visible. We had to ask where to go and security pointed out where we should be and who our guide was. She did not take into consideration anyone's physical ability to walk up the hill. She started walking up the hill when I had to point out that my mother had an ankle injury and would need the bus. She then held the group for a further few minutes while another tour member finished a personal conversation. The tour left 15 minutes late. She was knowledgeable and pleasant however she could have communicated/engaged better initially.

Our tour guide was knowledgable and passionate about the Portuguese history as it relates to the palace. Was quite enjoyable and brought a lot more interest to visiting the Palace. The only downside of the tour was that the palace was quite crowded and there were some very aggressive tourists around us who pushed us out of the way to get in( no one in our group).

The lisboa card is a good solution that allows you to get around the city and see various attractions while also often skipping the ticket booth line. It's just too bad that pickup is tied to a physical operator and daytime office hours, if you arrive at night you will pick it up the next day.

This attraction is phenomenal. Enter the park for a trip into a fairytale setting. It's a lot of walking up and down hills, so wear good tennis shoes.

Pena palace was amazing. Very well organised. Getting back to Lisbon was an issue due to the black out. More information should have been available due to bus timetable etc

There was a public transportation strike. There was also a power outage that prevented us from making full use of the card.

The castle is certainly worth seeing and is described by many as the Portuguese Neuschwanstein. They have probably never been to the Bavarian castle, because Pena can't even begin to compete with it. On closer inspection, there is little left of the colorful façade - it is too dirty for that. Access and parking are simply catastrophic.

It is such a beautiful palace set in a stunning location. Although it was quite busy we didn't have to wait too long thanks to the allotted time slot. Once inside we were not rushed and it was not too crowded. The only thing I would warn visitors is that phone signal, when at the gate house, is very poor which caused real issues trying to sort out an Uber.

It was a wonderful experience and thanks to the Lisbon Card we visited almost the entire city without any problems with tickets and public transportation

The transfer service was reduced due to a broken bus, so we walked and were late. We had to show our tickets four times. The line was ridiculous and when we got inside none of the room attendants knew any history, they were just security guys. The place was too crowded and the curation was not good so we didnt really learn much about it.

The tour came as advertised. It was well organized, people assembled at the location and were divided into groups by language. The tour guide gave out information at both sites ( could have added more while we were driving to the site). We had 90 minutes on our own at lunch time, which was good.

Was a great experience however I only got 1 audio guide for Pena Palace only. The audio guide wasn't very helpful either. I just paused it to read the available description in each room as I found it to be more informative.

The tour was well hosted...the crowds and choas at Pena Palace was as expected. The ticket taking on arrival could be better organised and communicated on site. There were a lot of groups all checking in at the same time and it wasn't clear on where to line up for each particular group.
